French authorities are tightening security measures.
In France from Saturday, 1 October, trains will be patrolled by private security personnel with weapons and in civilian clothes. This decision was taken by the French authorities after a series of terrorist attacks in the past and this year.
So allowed by the national rail company SNCF and the Paris RATP, the company that manages urban public transport use in trains and stations staff their own security services with arms and without uniforms.
These staff should receive specific training and have experience in the field for less than five years.
