Foreign Minister warns of new aggression of Putin

Boris Johnson predicted that “brakcet” will inspire Putin’s new aggression

The British foreign Minister, Boris Johnson, who was one of the leaders of the campaign for a British exit from the European Union, in February of this year wrote a newspaper column in which he predicted that “brakcet” will cause economic shock and can lead to aggression by Russia.

Then this text was not published. Sunday it was published in the newspaper Sunday Times.

According to the political editor of the Sunday Times Tim Shipman, Johnson almost simultaneously wrote two texts, one of which stated the case for the withdrawal of Britain from the EU, and the other against. According to the Shipman thus the ex-the mayor of London tried to frame his thoughts.

The result is a third text, which, Boris Johnson declared himself a supporter of “breccia”. This column was published February 21 in the Daily Telegraph newspaper, after which Johnson was actively involved in the campaign against British membership in the EU.

After the referendum, on 23 June he was appointed Minister of foreign Affairs this week said that Britain can achieve new trade agreements with the EU, which will be much more effective access to the European single market, which is, in his words, “increasingly useless”concept.

However, in an unpublished article, Johnson expressed opposite views. “On our doorstep there is a market open to British companies, he wrote. – The membership fee seems insignificant cost compared to the benefits it provides”.

Boris Johnson also warned that “brakcet” will cause economic shock and could lead to the disintegration of the UK, as in the case of withdrawal from the EU, Scotland wants to hold a second referendum on independence.

The Putin Factor

In the column, Johnson says about “the Putin factor”: “We do not want to do anything that will inspire the Russian leader on the new bragging – in the middle East or anywhere else.”

Last Tuesday, in a speech in the British Parliament in the debates on Syria, the head of the foreign office said about the guilt of Russia in the attack on the humanitarian convoy of the UN at Aleppo and urged opponents of war to arrange a demonstration at the Russian Embassy in London.

The call provoked an angry reaction from the Russian authorities. The official representative of the defense Ministry Igor Konashenkov called the words of Johnson “Russophobic hysteria”.

Soon after, again speaking in Parliament, Johnson said, is a Russophile.

Unpublished column Johnson ended with his promise to support then-British Prime Minister David Cameron in the campaign against the “breccia”.

After the referendum, a victory which was won by the supporters of the exit of Britain from the EU, the British pound has fallen 18% against the dollar.

In a recent speech, the new Prime Minister Theresa may said that Britain begin formal negotiations with Brussels on quitting the EU no later than end of March 2017 and warned of possible tough “breccia”.

Shortly afterwards the first Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon announced the preparation for a new referendum on independence.
