This year foreign investors increased the share of dividends in profit, leaving in Belarus for less money.
According to balance of payments the Republic of Belarus, prepared by the National Bank, in I quarter of current year, investors earned in Belarus less money compared to last year. Investment income decreased by $ 180 million to 1.6 billion, writes Baranok.
Despite this, investors have increased their dividends. In the form of dividends they received $ 270 million versus 190 million for the same period last year. As a result, the share of income that investors withdrew from Russia amounted to 40%. Only for the I quarter they took 680 million
The growth of dividends reflects the likely contraction of business activity in Belarus, in connection with which foreign investors it makes no sense to expand its activities in our country. A typical example in this respect — “home Credit Bank”, the owners of which decided to convert it to a financing institution.
It can be expected that at year end, investors will withdraw from the country about 2 billion dollars, and reinvest a total of about 1 billion.
