At some point of time I suddenly began to realize that my practice of ice fishing fish appeared a separate page – fishing Bursch. Until then, the Bursch has always been regarded by me as bycatch when fishing for Zander. But eventually I got a separate place where I go to catch of Volga pikeperch in a targeted manner. I know exactly what bersh there and what methods of fishing differ somewhat from Zander, say, or perch.
About Akhtuba and steps
My first acquaintance with the Bursch fishing from under the ice occurred on the Akhtuba river and its distributaries. It happened quite haphazardly. We have caught what I caught. Pikes, perches, Berchem station, perches. It is likely that it is the particularity of the Akhtuba, which still abounds in fish. It’s worth travelling for the second quarter and hit on Eric Banna or, say, Karabalyk, Mitinka – a chance to catch the Berchem station in a hole somewhere is very high.
And it doesn’t matter what you are trying to catch fish. Jig with Malcolm or local catch, jig with worm. The balancer is also the local fishermen in high esteem, but often they are used when fishing for perch. Of Volga pikeperch and perch still prefer to fish with jigs. They are easier to control the bottom and to achieve “reverse the steps”, which need to emphasize. If the analogy with a jig step that bershova wiring looks exactly the opposite. After lowering the bait to the bottom after a few shakes during moves the bait just below, and then again the angler controls the bottom and lift the bait again with the wobbles.
In this manner, the lure may go sufficiently far away from the fisherman and to fish in a significant area. In fact, it is quite difficult to choose the right weight of lure and line diameter to the existing course. But after selection of this “Golden” ratio, the result will be very impressive. I once got on a fishing trip, where I didn’t play a single Bursch, and my friend from Akhtubinsk already caught 15 pieces – it is all on the same hole. Other anglers tried to catch on the flaps, drilled a lot of holes (Bursch is beneath us!) – but was able to catch only two. Such a result can not talk in favor of “back steps” when fishing for Bursch. Ever since I constantly make attempts to achieve it.
Bursch fishing on the Volga
Fishing on the Volga Bursch is largely similar to the Akhtuba, the only difference in a greater number of ice hummocks. Often have to catch with pripev. At one such place I came across quite by accident. The comrades called one for one simple reason – to see how I will fish with asmatico. I never ceased to argue that fishing out – very versatile. So you can not only catch of Volga pikeperch or walleye, but perch and white bream, and bream! So, they said go to the place where all the fish there caught. Its hard for me not to go with them? Only two or three times in my practice I used to go fishing when mixed with pike caught a large bream or silver bream. I was fishing on mormyshka with Malcolm, while the upper Plexiglas suspension were placed the brush bloodworms or worm. It is sometimes suspension worked well on Moody pike, bercovich bites accounted for a much larger number, and the size of the hook to the hanger was quite edible for both Bursch and large bream or white bream.
But the miracle did not happen this time. All of our catch consisted solely of the Berchem station. Comrades caught it on a heavy jig, baited with a worm or Malcom, plus the leash with a light jig or hook. I fished exclusively on bezmaternih imp. Without false modesty I will tell – I fished the start of both companions. And there was not on thing, fishing I them at times. I used the tactics described in the beginning, when I wrote about Akhtuba. Two out I had to pull on crimps, two more saved from the off (such is the nature of fishing on the Volga prepak), but I managed to find two “Avenue” on which the rest of the time “Chagall” my devil. I let go of the line, shaking the bait near the bottom. Sometimes I peredaval to feel the bottom, but the bite still happened, which gave me confidence that hell is somewhere near the bottom. Interestingly, one of my friend still doubted the effectiveness of my lure and fishing technique: “I think you put the worm on one of the hooks – would have caught even more!” Who knows, maybe he’s right, but then it is better to take a jig, which is not so much prone dazepam.
They have the same bite happened, as it turned out, in a fresh hole when lowering the first gear to the bottom. The rest of the time they waited for a strike, occasionally shaking all the attachments. But heavy jig, designed to hold the Volga flow, of course, coped with its task. This once again confirms that the catch of Volga pikeperch more profitable it is “walking” the bait.
