Jean Belenko failed to win the final battle in the category up to 85 kg.
On the way to their debut final at the Olympic games Belenus consistently passed Mohamed Saad (9:0), Nicholas Bairakova (10:1) and Javid Gamzatov (6:0).
In the final Ukrainian fighter was waiting for a naturalized Russian citizen David Chakvetadze, who Belenus lost last two fights at the European games and the world Cup. Unfortunately, this trend has been confirmed in Rio de Janeiro.
