The international football Federation decided on a nominee for coach of the year.
For the title of best coach of the year by the governing body of world football expect the following professionals:
Diego Simeone (“Atletico”);
Didier Deschamps (France);
Chris Coleman (Wales);
Mauricio Pochettino (“Tottenham”);
Luis Enrique (FC Barcelona);
Claudio Ranieri (“Leicester”);
Jürgen Klopp (“Liverpool”);
Fernando Santos (Portugal);
Josep Guardiola (Bayern Munich/ Manchester City);
Zinedine Zidane (Real Madrid, France).
In the above list, one winner of the international tournaments (Santos), the winner of the Champions League (Zidane), the two finalists of the European Cup (Simeone and Klopp), finalist of Euro 2016 (Deschamps), and three winners of national Championships (Enrique, Ranieri and Guardiola).
Best coach of the year will be chosen by coaches and captains of teams, fans and 200 selected journalists. Up to three candidates, the list will be reduced to the second of December, and the winner will be announced on the ninth of January at a gala ceremony FIFA.
FIFA determines the best coach since 2010. The winners of the award was Jose Mourinho, Josep Guardiola, Vicente del Bosque, Jupp Heynckes, Joachim low and Luis Enrique.
