The head of the Alliance Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Sergio Marchionne told investors that the new Ferrari models that will be produced from 2019, will receive hybrid technology.
According to Marchionne, the use of a conventional internal combustion engine and electrical components will allow the car to become faster, while improving their fuel efficiency.
Now the only Ferrari model with a hybrid power plant is the LaFerrari and the LaFerrari Aperta, a limited edition. The first mass hybrid supercar brand will become the successor of the F12berlinetta. The market this car will be released by 2020.
Marchionne also said Ferrari will be “a fundamental shift” in the production cars. The group expected to increase production Ferrari to more than 10,000 cars a year. Now this figure is 8 per thousand.
