European banks refused to accommodate Russian Eurobonds

According to the Wall Street Journal, European banks refused to accommodate Russian Eurobonds. Clarifies that lenders do not want to disappoint the U.S. government and the European Union, which imposed sanctions against individuals and companies in Russia.

Us banks Goldman Sachs and J. P. Morgan, most likely, also will not place Eurobonds Russia, reports RSN.

The U.S. government encouraged financial institutions to participate in this activity, explaining that the purchase of Russian Eurobonds may reduce the effectiveness of anti-Russian sanctions.
