Turkey is ready to fight “Islamic state”.
The West did absolutely nothing for Syria, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Noting that today in Turkey there are up to three million Syrian refugees, Erdogan drew attention to during the operation “shield of the Euphrates” in Northern Syria.
“Now the aim of the operation is the Syrian town of al-Bab. We are told: “do Not move to this city”, but we must do this, because it is necessary to expedite the establishment of the security zone,” he said.
Erdogan said that if the International coalition forces will work together with Ankara, Turkey will take all necessary steps against the terrorist organization “Islamic state” (IG) in the Syrian district of Raqqa.
“We will act together with the US and the International coalition, but not with terrorists PYD or the YPG (Syrian branch of PKK). We do not cooperate with terrorists”, — said the head of state, adding that Ankara does not act with territorial claims to Syria or Iraq.
