It is estimated that for every 10,000 newborn mammals on the planet, there is one albino. Albinism — a rare phenomenon among animals, and every such case, as a rule, well-known scientists and documented thoroughly. But it happens all the same, and so that albinos are born small, which the man from time-to-time it is not known, as they are carefully hidden and guarded by their own herd.
This photo-story about a little elephant-an albino, which managed to capture the tourist Niki Coerce during his African Safari tour. This little elephant is suffering from albinism is an extremely rare disease among African elephants. Like humans,most animals – albino lacks the color pigment in skin, hair, skin and feathers.
Unlike people, however, albinism in animals is considered to be a hereditary disease.
Now, looking at this kid, it’s hard to predict how his condition will affect his future life. It is obvious that throughout his life he will have to face many difficulties, especially during adolescence.

And like many other albinos, most likely, it will have big problems with vision in later life.
In most cases, the animals reject their newly born babies with albinism, which are different from the other offspring. But this elephant seems to be quite satisfied and happy within their flock, and it allows to hope, that he would not only accept, but love and protect.
