A young canadian company Electra Meccanica has introduced his first child — single electric Solo.
Most people commute to work alone, which means 5-7 seats in the vehicle remain free.
A new automaker called “Electra” developed the first electric trike Solo, where you can fit only one person.
The company said that this three-wheeled vehicle is not a family model – an inexpensive option for your daily commute to work.
With just a 0.24 drag coefficient, the Solo can easily cut through the air. The design has a low nose with pronounced “wrinkles” on the hood. Cool curved windshield smoothly into the roof, which ends integrated rear spoiler.
Solo is actually not too small, because in length it is 120 inches (3,04 m). The interior is certainly Spartan, because there is only one digital display for the sensor but the car still contains the modern amenities like Bluetooth and a backup camera. The storage area at the front and rear panels allow a total of 10 cubic feet (285 liters), which should be enough for one person.
Solo equipped with a motor with a capacity of 82 horsepower (61.15 kW). Transmission trico allows you to accelerate to 62 mph (100 kph) in less than 8 seconds. The maximum vehicle speed is 80 mph (130 km / h). Solo received 16.1 per-kilowatt battery that provides the range of movement of up to 100 miles (160 kilometers). Charging takes three hours from a 220-volt outlet or six hours from 110 volts.
The car in the next year can be purchased from 19,888 canadian dollars (15,400 USD). Official Solo will take place this weekend in Vancouver (Canada).
