President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko instructed foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin to inform the Russian leadership about the impossibility to conduct on the territory of the country elections to the state Duma of the Russian Federation. About this on his page in Facebookсообщил press Secretary of the Ukrainian leader Svyatoslav Tsigalko.

For some reason, impossible election process in Kiev is not explained.

In late August, it was reported that the Central election Commission of Russia intends to open polling stations for Russian citizens wishing to participate in the elections to the state Duma on the territory of the breakaway Donetsk and Lugansk national republics, for fear that this information will benefit the government of Ukraine.

At the same time the CEC member Vasily Likhachev told that in Ukraine it is planned to open four stations, one in Kiev and one in the Consulate General in Kharkiv, Odessa and Lviv. According to him, the former Russian Ambassador Mikhail Zurabov even before his resignation has informed Poroshenko about plans to organize the vote in these areas.

Elections to the lower house of the Russian Parliament will be held on 18 September under a mixed system: 225 deputies are elected on party lists and 225 in single — mandate constituencies.

In the elections to the state Duma in 2011 in Ukraine was organized in 17 polling stations, which came to about 23 thousand Russian citizens.
