NGO representative at the briefing said that as at 8:00 not ready to start a vote was 4.2% of the plots, whereas in the last parliamentary elections in 2012 this figure was 8.2%. It is reported by news Georgia.

NGOs noted that the violations were recorded by the observers as in the preparation of the voting process, and after the election.

Representatives of other non — governmental organization “Fair elections” — managed to capture 17 of the violations. The most serious violations identified by observers were the non-admission of observers to the opening of the polling stations and the arrival to the area with campaign material.

Thus, the “Fair elections” has recorded:

7 cases of improper preparation of documents;

5 cases of incorrect filling of control sheet;

2 cases of limiting the rights of observers;

1 case of campaigning in the area;

2 cases of presence at the polling station by unauthorized persons.

According to the “Fair elections”, and the process of furnishing the polling stations took place without significant violations.

Recall that 3.5 million voters have to choose among the nearly three dozen parties and blocs, whose members are competing for 150 seats in the Georgian Parliament. To elect deputies will be under a mixed electoral system, partially based on party lists and partly in single-mandate constituencies.

The polls in parliamentary elections for citizens of Georgia living abroad, was opened in 42 countries, with the exception of Russia.

The main rivalry in the elections of 8 October, according to opinion polls, will unfold between the party “Georgian dream” billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili and the “United national movement” ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili
