Dodge Challenger 1971, equipped with a 485-horsepower engine and box from the “Viper”.
Dodge company and factory Studio Mopar will present at the tuning festival SEMA concept car Shakedown, built on the basis coupe Challenger 1971. According to the developers, they managed to “fit the classic muscle car to the standards of the 21st century.”
For innovations developed a unique platform on which is mounted the body of a classic muscle car. The new sports suspension, rollcage, and brake mechanisms Brembo, similar to those installed on the “charged” coupe Challenger Hellcat and Charger Hellcat super-sedan.
The Dodge Challenger equipped with 6.4-liter atmospheric V8 engine with a power of 485 horsepower and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission from a Dodge Viper.
From “Viper” prototype also got steering wheel and sports seats, which were covered with Katzkin leather and Alcantara. The interior design also used carbon paste.
Tuning festival SEMA opens in Las Vegas on 1 November. In addition to the modified Challenger, Mopar will introduce a number of other concept cars brands Dodge, Jeep and Ram.
