The representative of the all-Russian movement of currency borrowers have informed RBC that the appeal will be sent to the “straight line” with Putin, which will take place on April 14.
The video dropped a few dozen people with placards, one of them says: “foreign Currency mortgages — the shame of Russia”. According to the food, the government has not taken any measures to protect them, when the Central Bank at the end of 2014 has rejected the policy of support of the ruble within a currency corridor.
The authors of the appeal demanded a moratorium on payment of foreign currency loans, to convert them into rubles and to carry out de-dollarization of retail lending.
Currency borrowers regularly hold protests demanding the renegotiation of the loan. In particular, the action took place at the offices of Raiffeisenbank, Absolut Bank and “Deltakredit”. In early February, the food gathered outside the Central Bank and blocked the street Neglinnaya. In March they stormed into the reception of the party “United Russia” in Moscow.
