Countries that supported Ukraine in the Eurovision song contest

Страны, которые поддерживали Украину на ЕвровиденииIt became known which countries voted for Ukraine at the Eurovision song contest.

For the first time to conquer Eurovision Ukraine went in 2003: then Alexander Ponomarev took the competition in only 14 place. But in the second year of their participation, our country won the contest with Ruslana’s song Wild Dances. Second place Ukraine brought in 2007 and 2008 Verka Serduchka with the song “Dancing Lasha Tumbal” and Ani Lorak with the song Shady Lady. In 2011, the three leaders approached the singer Mika Newton, finishing in 4th place. In 2013, the country introduced the singer Zlata Ognevich and took 3rd place.

On the eve of finals (watch today on channel NTU is at 22.00) we remembered how other countries voted for Ukrainian participants in the competition.

Jamal before the final: “it is Very difficult to tune for performance among the fun songs”

“I’m sorry, that the audience does not know how the actors prepare for performances at the “Eurovision”, – says Ukrainian singer. – We pass two rehearsals total. Then we have rehearsals where everyone just runs his song for 20 minutes. And it’s very exhausting because you’re constantly waiting.

I’m on “the Eurovision” the second time. The first is already a bit far in 2005, when, after the victory of Ruslana competition arrived in Kiev. Then the whole city was covered with posters about the Eurovision song contest, souvenir stalls Laden with appropriate I mean, “memory”, and out of all the holes still sounded “together we are many…”. During these 11 years, we have become less, and we’re even more “together” than I did then, but the popularity of Eurovision in Ukraine has not decreased… Oh, something I got carried away – I’m about Sweden to tell was going.
