There are two forms of conjunctivitis — acute and chronic. They differ in their symptoms. If in the acute form of the disease the symptoms are just a couple of hours and immediately cause terrible discomfort, chronic conjunctivitis, the symptoms appear gradually, one after the other and the treatment it lasts much longer.

Symptoms of the main types of conjunctivitis:

1. Bacterial conjunctivitis is characterized in that at the initial stage of development affects only one eye, and then the bacteria “attack” on the second eye. Swollen eyelids, red mucous membranes and skin around the eyes, appear small veins of hemorrhages in the eyeball, the upper and lower eyelashes stick together due to separation of viscous mucus.

3. In allergic conjunctivitis of the eye can cause a flow of pus. Inflammation of the eye occurs with the same symptoms as all the known Allergy — swollen eyelids, watery eyes, concerned about severe itching and burning in the eyes, photophobia.
