The actress told how to raise her children alone.
In an interview with the canadian version of Elle, the actress Charlize Theron, self raising adopted children, a son and a daughter, said about being a single mother.
“When I became a mother, everything changed. I really wanted to. I literally longed for motherhood and was ready to give it their all. To adopt a child is not easy, even if you’re a celebrity, but when I first picked up my baby, I was so happy – I never imagined that was possible. Today motherhood is a daily source of happiness, more than everything else, my career”.
Charlize Theron said that not trying to be an example for other single mothers, just “doing his job”:
“I’m not trying to prove anything or be some kind of symbol. Just all that happened. When adopting a child, you can not put any conditions. I dedicated myself to the process of adoption because she was sure that I will be able to play the role of mother and give my children all the love and all the attention that they need. No one wants to become a single parent, but I long ago realized that life cannot be controlled. I have adapted to this situation, because I’m a pragmatist”.
