From 17 to 29 September in Toronto was held the third world Cup hockey – the winner of prestigious international tournament were the Canadians.
In the group stage, the Canadians have consistently dealt with the Czech Republic (6:0), USA (4:2) and team Europe (4:1). In the semifinals, “Maple leaves” put the squeeze on Russia (5:3), and in the final match of the tournament, coped with the best players of Europe (3:1).
The best scorer of the tournament was the star striker “Pittsburgh” Sidney Crosby, on account of which in six games scored three goals and seven assists. Crosby has become the MVP of the tournament. The number of goals was not equal to other canadian brad Marshanda, five times respecatable the opponent.
