Britain has accused Moscow of war crimes

During an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on Syria, the special representative of UK to the UN Matthew Rycroft said that the Assad regime and Russia “turn Aleppo into ruins”.

Diplomat accused Moscow of involvement in the shelling of civilians in Aleppo. “They’re using bunker Buster bombs, destroyed houses and shelters, incendiary bombs were dumped on residential areas,” he said.

He called Russia “a pariah in the international arena”. In addition, Rycroft said that the Syrian people will not forgive Moscow for the support that Russia has provided the Assad government.

Earlier, the coalition under the command of the United States launched air strikes on positions of the Syrian army in Deir ez-Zor. Killing more than 60 people, about 100 soldiers were injured.
