Brazil elected a new President: it was Michel Temer

Former Prime Minister of Brazil Michel Temer took the oath as the new President of the country after the impeachment of the now former head of state Dilma Rousseff. This was reported by the Associated Press.

Temer was the acting President since may of this year after Rousseff’s ouster from office in connection with the investigation into her corruption. It is expected that a politician will run the country until January 1, 2019, when it would have expired the term of Dilma Rousseff.

According to the website Wikileaks, Michel Temer had previously been an informant of the us Embassy on the political situation in Brazil.

As previously reported, on August 31, the Brazilian Senate impeached and removed from office the country’s President Dilma Rousseff after several months of treatment. The former head of state accused of hiding the true size of the budget deficit of the country during her election campaign in 2014.
