BMW already hard at work on the production X4 second generation.
The Bavarians started the development of a new generation of its popular cross-coupe BMW X4, a conceptual version of which was shown in Shanghai in 2013.
As noted, the novelty will differ from its predecessor and will have a completely new architecture, already used for the BMW X3. The latter will allow the Germans to collect the electrified version of the Quartet. While the most productive traditional engine will be a 400-strong “six”.
In addition, it is reported that on Board the new X4 will house the electronics of the new generation, which will be updated every three years — this will significantly extend the capabilities of multimedia and electronic assistants, without making structural changes.
But in terms of appearance the new BMW X4, most likely, practically will not change, except such light touches as the revised bumpers, a modified grille and upgraded optics.
