“Chance” / Capsonline-theater Hulu continues to produce expensive TV shows that attract the attention of the audience. New – drama – tells the story of a forensic expert and psychologist Eldon Chance, the role of which is played by Hugh Laurie. Dr. chance specializiruetsya in Psychoneurology and conducting examinations suspected of various crimes to court San Francisco. It comes to a patient with a split personality, which allegedly beats up husband – this case touches Chance to the core. Unlike “house” series, by which Hugh Laurie has become associated with viewers with the image of a doctor, “Chance” is a more grim and oppressive story of a man mired in current, the dark side of his world. Despite its work in progress which chance is constantly faced with the dregs of society, he didn’t know (or didn’t want to know) what happens to the people outside his office. In that moment, when the case brings him with a patient, victims of domestic violence, the hero realizes that enough is enough – he’s not ready so give up and give a “dirty” COP completely ruin the poor woman’s life. The events of the series unfold “horizontally”, that is, each new episode continues the events of the previous episode. “Pilot” is intriguing and promises not to reveal all the secrets, gradually introduces the main characters of this story. Instead of “horror”, which is almost impossible to imagine in the framework of the TV format, the FOX invited the audience to look at familiar history from a completely different angle – we are not Thriller and psychological drama with daunting, sometimes to wait until their elements. The authors of novelties decided not to invent anything new, they just invited the audience to forget about the events described by Fridkin in his film, and start all over again. Interestingly, in comparing the pattern of the 73rd year, the show’s main characters got more screen time and the story was expanded, in particular, due to the abundance of secondary characters. Special mention is given to the visual design that combines both the new finds in the genre, and the familiar elements of classic horror films.
