The defender of CSKA and the national team Vasili Berezutski called Russia unsportsmanlike country. His words on Thursday, September 8, cites “Sport-Express”.
“Russia received a country. Take any look. Probably, except only the Continental hockey League (KHL). I on attendance. We won the Olympics in handball. And how much goes to their matches? Five people sitting. And we say we love sports? No, we don’t love him! And in volleyball, synchronized swimming, as far as I know, sometimes it is not necessary to pay for the tickets. But people still don’t go!”, said Berezutski.
He noted that in the current conditions makes sense to talk not only about the promotion of football, but sport as a whole. “A million fans signed a petition against the national team of Russia. But why these people don’t come to the stadiums to cheer on their clubs, for the national team?! As soon as there is some negative, many immediately begin to speak… I cannot understand it,” added the defender.
