Belarus was ranked first among post-Soviet countries growth of consumer prices in February 2016 and the second in January—February.
This is evidenced by BelaPAN conducted an analysis of data from the national statistics authorities.
In February consumer prices increased by 2.9%. Followed by Kazakhstan (1,1%), Estonia (0,7%), Russia (0,6%), Tajikistan (0.5 per cent), Azerbaijan (0,4%), Georgia and Latvia (0.1%). In Kyrgyzstan, prices decreased by 0.2%, in Lithuania — 0.3%, in Ukraine — by 0.4%, in Moldova — by 0.5%, in Armenia — by 1.4%. No data on Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. In unrecognized Transnistria, which has its own financial system, the prices decreased over the month by 0.6%.
For the first two months of this year consumer prices was largely grown in Azerbaijan (6.3 per cent), Belarus (4.8%) and Kazakhstan (2.5 per cent). This figure was lower than in Tajikistan (1.9 per cent), Russia (1.6 percent), Georgia (1%), Armenia (0.8 percent), Estonia (0,6%), Ukraine (0.5%) and Moldova (0,1%). Reduction of prices is observed in Kyrgyzstan (0.3%), Latvia (0.5%) and Lithuania (0.7 percent). From Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. In Transnistria, the prices declined by 0.4%.
In January 2016 Belarus with price increases of 1.9% took the third place after Azerbaijan (5.8%) and Armenia (2.2 percent), ahead of Tajikistan (1.4 per cent), Kazakhstan (1,3%), Russia (1%), Georgia, Ukraine (0.9%) and Moldova (0.7 percent). Have not changed prices in Kyrgyzstan decreased in Estonia (0.1%), Lithuania (0.3%) and Latvia (0.6%).
