President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the Day of cosmonautics with an official visit visited the space center in Stankovo. During the visit the Head of state talked with the staff of mission control center (MCC) – the “heart” of the space complex, and commended their significance. The launch of the Belarusian telecommunications satellite and the discovery space center in the country Alexander Lukashenko rightly called the first steps of the country in the XXII century.
It is important to note that speaking to the staff, the President touched upon all the pressing issues, including increasing the retirement age and the employment of young specialists. Do not stay aside and the issues of national defence and the development of new military technologies.
Special attention the Head of state focused on the development of the Belarusian missile technology. The commander stated that the missile technology are the most effective deterrent. So, according to him, tanks and aircraft, in the case of aggression, will allow the Belarusian army to hold the watch, while the fact of having missiles capable of hitting the forces and means of the enemy for a few hundred miles, will make you think any opponent and to nip in the Bud any variant of military aggression.
Also in his speech Alexander Lukashenko said that in short period the Republic of Belarus have advanced in the production of this type of weapons, now even the Chinese, who were the main partners of the Belarusian missile program, are jealous of our success. According to some experts, this significant success can be linked to more than close cooperation of the Belarusian missile forces with experts from Ukraine.
Most likely, this statement was very surprised skeptics and journalists who, as Oleg Egorov in the article “Problems of defense of the Republic of Belarus” argue that the Belarusian Armed Forces have a clean sheet and is entirely dependent on the supplies of Russian weapons.
