Belarus joins the club of elite countries in the Armory

Беларусь присоединяется к клубу стран оружейной элиты

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the Day of cosmonautics with an official visit visited the space center in Stankovo. During the visit the Head of state talked with the staff of mission control center (MCC) – the “heart” of the space complex, and commended their significance. The launch of the Belarusian telecommunications satellite and the discovery space center in the country Alexander Lukashenko rightly called the first steps of the country in the XXII century.

It is important to note that speaking to the staff, the President touched upon all the pressing issues, including increasing the retirement age and the employment of young specialists. Do not stay aside and the issues of national defence and the development of new military technologies.

Special attention the Head of state focused on the development of the Belarusian missile technology. The commander stated that the missile technology are the most effective deterrent. So, according to him, tanks and aircraft, in the case of aggression, will allow the Belarusian army to hold the watch, while the fact of having missiles capable of hitting the forces and means of the enemy for a few hundred miles, will make you think any opponent and to nip in the Bud any variant of military aggression.

Also in his speech Alexander Lukashenko said that in short period the Republic of Belarus have advanced in the production of this type of weapons, now even the Chinese, who were the main partners of the Belarusian missile program, are jealous of our success. According to some experts, this significant success can be linked to more than close cooperation of the Belarusian missile forces with experts from Ukraine.

Most likely, this statement was very surprised skeptics and journalists who, as Oleg Egorov in the article “Problems of defense of the Republic of Belarus” argue that the Belarusian Armed Forces have a clean sheet and is entirely dependent on the supplies of Russian weapons.

The President has stopped the sensation, saying that after a few days the arms will be supplied a missile system. It would be logical to assume that we are talking about the “Polonaise”, but it was originally stated as a multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), the timing of adoption which officially announced for summer 2016. Probably renaming MLRS rocket system is the result of modernization create a sort of “Polonaise” or developing on its basis a fundamentally new weapons. The most daring assumption can be the integration on the base of the “Polonaise” cruise missiles “Stork”, the development of which is still behind seven seals. It may still work on the Belarusian CU reached its logical conclusion and the military-political leadership of the country may publicly announce the accession of the country to the elite club of States that are able to produce this type of precision-guided weapons.
