State Duma deputies criticized the position of the management of “Avtodor” about the cost of the toll highway M-11
State Duma deputies expressed their disapproval of the position of the head of the state company “Avtodor” Sergey Kelbah about the cost of the toll highway M-11, which he expressed in a recent interview with “RBC”. In particular, Kelbakh said that “no one that isn’t trapped in a pocket does not climb to them. There is a free alternative, and everyone can choose for themselves a convenient and affordable way”. By and large, this means recognizing the fact that the current cost is prohibitive for a significant number of citizens. And with this approach, many disagree.
“Consumer wallet voted against this price, because the track is almost empty, and, consequently, this money invested for nothing”, – commented first Deputy Chairman of state Duma Committee on constitutional legislation and state construction Vyacheslav Lysakov.
Similar view was expressed by Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on transport Alexander Starovoitov: “Then you should designate this road is not for everyone, but only for those who have some wealth. If nothing changes, this is another proof that there are two Russias: the Russia, where not a lot of money, but very much, and Russia, where wonder how to live on 7 thousand a month. In any event, the officials, and the representatives of such companies are government officials, should understand that authority is given to the people, and his opinion need to listen and respect”.
Earlier system of pricing on toll roads have been criticized not only simple consumers, but also President Vladimir Putin (in his opinion, toll roads are too expensive and are clearly a “catch rates”), the management of the Ministry of transport and the Prosecutor General’s office of the Russian Federation.
Recall that from 23 November 2015 new highway M-11 “Moscow-St.-Petersburg” at some polling stations was paid. Now, in order to get to the airport “Sheremetyevo” and Solnechnogorsk, drivers must pay 250 and 500 rubles, respectively.
