A resident in the Australian region of Tasmania in a 63 year first became a mother. The baby was born at 34 weeks by caesarean section.
The woman managed to get pregnant after years of trying to conduct artificial insemination with donor eggs. The last attempt was successful. The names of the parents and the newborn girl were not disclosed, reports BBC News.
“We understand the huge interest in this story, but the family is not looking for publicity either now or in the future” – quoted by the Sydney Morning Herald Michael Rosca, representative of the private hospital Frances Perry House in Melbourne where the surgery was performed.
