Number of films shown in the festival is growing every year: in 2016, he has five competitions, four out-of-competition line-up, presentations of unfinished projects, and more. The main symbol of the 24th “Window to Europe” will be Lyudmila Gurchenko – in Vyborg in her honor will be organized a special exhibition. It is already known that the jury of feature film competition will be headed by Director and screenwriter, State prize laureate of Russia Sergey Ursulyak, at the head of the competition documentary competition will be the poet-bard Alexander Gorodnitsky, President of the jury of the program of animated films by the appointed winner of the festival Alexey Demin.

Most of the films that will be presented in the competition of feature films, filmed by first-time Directors. In the documentary competition will feature 22 of the ribbon, and in the framework of the animation programs – 30.
