On the bottom of the Black sea, archaeologists have found more than 40 ships of the Ottoman and Byzantine empires.
It is noted that the ancient ships are well preserved.
Specialists of the black sea project’s underwater archaeology surveyed the seabed using the latest deep-sea equipment, enabling shooting at depths of 1.8 thousand meters. One of the devices has made 3D pictures in high resolution, by which the researchers got the details of the plating of the crashed ships and filmed their skeletons.
Searches were carried out in accordance with the map of ancient trade routes that connected the Byzantine Empire with neighboring States.
