Volkswagen company first put on test production version of the new Touareg. Photospin managed to photograph the car during road tests. Pictures of new items was uploaded edition Motor1. The official premiere of the car will take place next year.
Judging by the spy photos, crossover will get a different grille and a different exhaust system. The car will be built on the platform MLB Evo. In the engine range of the new items will include petrol and diesel powertrains. Later the Touareg will receive a hybrid modification.
Earlier it was reported that the new generation Touareg will do similar to the concept of T-Prime Concept GTE. The prototype was presented last year at the motor show in Beijing. The concept is equipped with a hybrid power plant with a total return of 380 horsepower.
Conceptual crossover is built on the same modular MLB platform with a longitudinal engine layout that was used when creating the Audi Q7. The novelty is much larger than the current Touareg: the length of the model exceeds 5 m and the width is less than two meters. Exhibition prototype features a single bar with large-screen devices and a 15-inch “tablet” system, which will become the standard for all future models of the brand.
