Andrei Konchalovsky will present his film at the Venice film festival

August 31 kicks off the 73rd Venice film festival. This year Russia will be represented by Director Andrey Konchalovsky with the movie “Ray”. The painting, created in cooperation of Russia and Germany, tells us about the people whose destinies intertwine during the Second world war.

One of the main roles in the film played the wife of Andrei Konchalovsky and Yulia Vysotskaya. The actress played a Russian immigrant Olga. To better get into the character, Julia, even shaved it all off.

Konchalovsky has already announced that he will personally present the movie in Venice. “Thank God, that picture got into the competition. Of course, I myself will go to Venice to present his film. Recall that in 2014 at the Venice film festival Andrei Konchalovsky was awarded for the film “White nights postman Alexei Trapezina”.
