Американским школьникам разрешили ходить в школу с оружием

The Supreme court of Minnesota decided to allow pupils to bring a weapon to school, on the condition that they will not use it. Previously, students caught with a weapon were subject to severe punishment including expulsion. Now the new rules will provide students legal protection.

According to the court, the school has the right to find out the reason the student carries a weapon. It should be noted that firearms are still banned. The decision was taken in connection with the case of 19-year-old high school student Alyssa Drescher of southern Minnesota.

Two and a half years ago, the girl had discovered a folding knife. The class teacher Alyssa stated that he will see to it that the girl was expelled not only from school but also from any other educational institution in the state. In fact the incident school officials called the police.

A search of personal belongings a pupil has not produced any results. The school was hoping to find in the locker of a student of drugs, but it was not. It later emerged that a folding knife was left the girl after she helped her boyfriend on the farm, and forgot to put it out of her purse.

Despite this the girl still excluded. As promised, the class teacher Alyssa, the decision to remove has spread to the whole County. Parents of senior pupils were very outraged. They hired a lawyer who conducted the case Alyssa for several years, until he finally got results.

Now the students faced in the past with the same problem as Alyssa, can continue their studies if necessary. To avoid problems associated with the new rule, the court stated in advance that, even if a student accidentally brings to school a firearm, he will probably be excluded.
