This beauty is the pilots can see almost every day.
These beautiful photos were taken by the pilot Christian van Heist from the Netherlands and his friend Daan Transom. They founded Amazing Aviation that specializiruetsya on the photos from the cockpit. These photographs are a selection of the best of their portfolio. They were made while flying over different cities and countries, starting in Toronto and ending with India and China.
“When in-flight encounter with such an abundance of nature, immediately begin to feel so small, so insignificant compared to this wild raging energy,” says Christian.
This photo was taken during a flight between Beijing and Shanghai. It shows a cloud illuminated by lightning.
“Our instruments have found that cloud in just a few minutes before the picture was taken. When we came closer, we had 10 kilometers to deviate from the course, because beauty is beauty, and the threat to the aircraft and the cloud still presented considerable,” said Christian.
This photo was taken in the skies over Canada during a flight from Chicago to Amsterdam. Christian and his colleague Luke had to face a terrible storm, and after this the icing on the cake was the Northern lights.
“To create such stunning photos and put them on public display, giving everyone the opportunity to see this beauty — a huge honor for me,” admitted Christian.
“Beautiful Northern lights in the sky over Canada, which also still and is illuminated from beneath by multiple thunderstorms with lightning, is one of the most beautiful paintings I have ever seen in my life,” shared Christian.
So the milky Way looks like from the cockpit flying over the Sinai Peninsula (Egypt).
And this photo was taken from the cockpit of a cargo Boeing 747″ flying over the territory of India.
Christian started to study pilot in 14 years. “Since the beginning of my career, I was firmly convinced that I just need to capture the unique atmosphere of the beautiful views I see from the cockpit,” he says.
“Attempts to create a good photo can often look like a hard and thankless job, but I still try to make your audience great pictures to accurately convey the feelings that I feel when they are in flight,” added Christian.
“My colleagues support me, because now they have the opportunity to show your family and friends all the beauty that we are seeing every day with our jobs.”
