Alienation between the West and Muslims is growing

Отчужденность между Западом и мусульманами нарастает

It seems that those who have seen the footage on TV, and probably too direct witnesses could not be unpleasantly surprised by the absurdity and even obscenity of the situation. At the beach, the beautiful Mediterranean sea – cradle of civilization – French-policeman with all the honest people trying to pull a bathing suit lying on the sand woman. And all this is because the municipal authorities of some French cities found that a particular model of swimsuit that covers (and not strip) the body can cause unnecessary concern adjacent in the sand.

However, this model – it’s called “burqini” – especially had no taste to the mayor of Cannes. He saw in it a sign of Islamism. And Prime Minister Valls publicly called burqini, “a symptom of the enslavement of women that is incompatible with French values”. In the end, from 12 August, the mayor of Cannes has imposed a ban on wearing the burqini. It was followed by the mayors of some other coastal towns. For violation of this rule introduces a penalty.

Ordinary people in France and in Europe, this phenomenon looks ridiculous, unrealistic and, of course, a clear violation of the right of any free citizen to choose clothes.

It is evident that these senseless bans profoundly unfair. Instead of having to deal with the main present dangers of terrorism, they only divide society. And, of course, is irrelevant to the insult to the traditional values referenced in burkini banned by French authorities (by the way, the demand for this model in the last week rose by 200%). It looks clean politicking and disgusting hypocrisy. And about values, even in the strict mores of the guardian wrote that “it is absolutely not clear, what the French values will protect this ban.”

Question about the clothing of Muslim women have been repeatedly exploited by the French authorities in the internal political purposes. The newspaper “new York times” recently wrote directly that “burqini today is a convenient excuse to divert attention from the problems that French leaders are not able to resolve: high unemployment, declining economic growth and the very real threat of terrorism.”

The essence of this story that unfolded from mid-August 2016 campaign against burqini – a fragment of mirror reflecting gripped the country’s West, a deep internal crisis and the growing escalation of its confrontation with the Islamic world.

This is manifested clearly in the American presidential campaign, which became an unprecedented passion, coarseness, stiffness and use of indecent expressions. Evidence of the crisis is the exit of England from the European Union, more and more clearly declared the willingness of other countries to hold such a referendum, the widening gap between rich and poor, the rise of separatist sentiment in a number of countries: this is all just facets of the phenomenon, which every day is becoming increasingly acute and deep.

Especially alarming is the growing gap between the West and the Islamic world. We are talking not only about situations of conflict resulting from the invasion of the Western States in Iraq, destruction of Libya in the bombing of NATO, the actual West’s support of Islamist terrorist organizations (Donald trump and many other policies just saying that DAISH was created by the policy of H. Clinton and B. Obama).

A major irritant in relations with Western powers and Muslim communities was the theme of refugees. However, many Western European leaders, not knowing how to solve this thorny issue, not having enough competence, not able to look beyond the horizon, try to use antiimmigrant and Islamophobic sentiment in order to escape from the solution of urgent problems.

A series of major terrorist attacks in the United States, France and several other countries this year so they are shocked that prudent Germans even felt the need to stock up on food and water in case of unforeseen circumstances.

Gripped many Western cities a state of fear, of uncertainty, of confusion trying to use Islamist radicals, primarily DAYS (banned in Russia), which openly positions itself as an alternative to the Western system.

In recent months, the Islamists are open calls against the governments of many countries, especially Western ones. So, Ali Mohammed al-Adnani, the official representative of the DAIS urged Muslims, according to the website “al-Arabiya”, “kill the unbelievers of the Americans and Europeans, especially the spiteful and filthy French”.

England was shocked by the actions of the Muslim preacher Angela Chowdari, which some time ago published a guide on what to do devout Muslims in the first 24 hours after the victory of the Islamic revolution in England. And in many sermons the Imam says that after Britain starts to live under Sharia law, soon will be “perfect Islamic state, where there is no poverty, no queues, no utility bills”.

Describes something similar in his recent novel, “Submission,” the famous French writer M. Houellebecq.

The essence of this confrontation, deepening ideological rift that Western States are trying by all means to maintain its dominance, acting in this immoral and cynical. This speaks directly in their speeches, famous Pakistani journalist, and writer Dr. Akbar Ahmed, stressing that “a huge amount of violence that occurs in the middle East and other countries is an inevitable consequence of violence directed against the Muslim world”.

Says a lot about that seemingly small question about women’s swimwear is becoming like cartoon scandal new stage of confrontation between the West and the Muslim world.
