Criminal case upon mass disease of children with bacterial intestinal infection in the camp “Spark” in the city of Svetlogorsk of the Kaliningrad region, recognized as legitimate. This was announced on Friday, August 19, the press service of the regional Prosecutor’s office.
The case was opened under part 1 of article 236 of the criminal code of Russian Federation (“Infringement sanitary-epidemiological rules, entailed on imprudence mass disease or a poisoning of people”). Svetlogorsk Interdistrict Prosecutor took the investigation under control, the report says.
In connection with the revealed violations work of the children’s camp was suspended. RIA Novosti notes that “Spark” again began to accept children after disinfection and replacement of the chefs, responsible for cooking food firm fined. The Agency also reports that the reason of mass poisoning was a staph infection.
For medical help with complaints of feeling unwell on August 4, asked 39 people, including children aged 7 to 14 campers. Seven children were hospitalized.
