The share of Ukrainian households subjectively consider themselves poor part of the population increased in 2015 by 1.3 times compared to 2008 year – on-year to 72.3%.
The proportion who consider themselves middle class has decreased by 2.7% from 1.9% in 2008 to 0.7% in 2015, writes the Ukrainian edition “Mirror of week” with reference to data of the state statistics.
One and a half fold reduction in the percentage of households who consider themselves “intermediate” category between not poor but not middle class – from 41.2% to 27%.
According to the newspaper, half of the household believes that in 2016, their financial position will deteriorate, 41,6%, which will remain unchanged and only 5.4% still hope that it will improve.
Ukraine is experiencing a severe economic and political crisis that the country was on the brink of default. The country recorded a record decrease in the level of life satisfaction, in 2015, it has fallen to four points on a 10-point scale. The number of those who consider themselves poor, for the year reached 79%.
The fall of Ukraine’s economy by the end of 2015 accounted for 10%, industrial production declined by 13.4%.
Mining operations in the country in 2015 socratically of 14.5%. Food production fell by 11.2% in the metallurgical industry the production decreased by 16.4%, in engineering – 14.6%. Retail trade turnover decreased by 20.7%.
The leader of the public movement “the Ukrainian choice” Viktor Medvedchuk said that the efforts “highly qualified domestic and foreign reformers evrointegratorov” Ukraine brought to the pre-default state.
