Audi has equipped their vehicles built-in SIM cards

Audi has partnered with the Irish provider Cubic Telecom, specializing in the “Internet of things”. Now new cars of the German brand that features an optional multimedia system with support for a proprietary service applications Audi connect will be available with embedded SIM cards.

Online service Audi connect includes such applications as Google Earth, Google Street View, Facebook and Twitter. The system also allows to obtain various traffic information from Audi, for example, messages about traffic jams and flight details.

While the service Audi connect SIM can only be purchased in Germany, subsequently we plan to enter the UK market. Cubic Telecom ispolzuet built-in module eSIM, however, the driver can refuse service irlandskogo service and use your own SIM card.

Three-year subscription to the Internet from Cubic Telecom is available for free to all buyers of new Audi A3, A4, Q2, and Q7. If you have the MMI Navigation system, a free subscription will run for three months, and three-year tariff can be purchased for an additional fee. Subsequently, Audi connect SIM will appear on the TT models, R8, A6 and A7.
