World champion freeride Estelle Bale died Tuesday, April 19, as a result of avalanches in the Swiss Alps. It is reported Francetvsport.
21-year-old athlete was riding a snowboard in the Canton of Valais, where he shot a film about sports. The ball was wearing a helmet and was carrying the necessary equipment for survival (avalanche airbag sensor and airbag with the airbag), but this couldn’t save her. Help arrived on the scene too late.
In April the Ball was a two-time world champion in freeride.
