The capital’s athletes showed the best result in the history of the Moscow sumo. In the championship of Russia the Moscow team won seven gold, three silver and six bronze medals.
In the team event the team of the capital in first place with 85 points.
Awards of the highest test in a moneybox of national team brought Vladimir Chaika (70 kilograms), Batyr Altyev (85 kilograms), Maxim Luhansk (92 kilograms), Roman Zimovets (115 pounds), Olga Lebedeva (72 kg), Ekaterina Alekseeva (80 kilos) and Elena Shitikova (95 kilograms). Silver Elena Glycinol (55 kilograms), Ani Grigorian (65 kilograms) and Mariam Tuesay (72 kilograms). Bronze was won by Ekaterina Gazzaev (55 kilograms), Ekaterina Rudneva (55 kilograms), Nina Strakhov (65 kilograms), Abdurahim Ahmadaliev ( 85 kilograms), Batraz Tskhovrebov (92 kilos) and Elena Shitikova (absolute weight category).
The championship of Russia on sumo took place in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region. Capital athletes won 10 trips to the European championship which will be held from 21 to 24 April in Poland.
