The Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations of foreign Ministers of “Norman Quartet” in Berlin framed German colleagues, bringing with them a card with the image of the Crimea as part of Ukraine. “It was impromptu from the Ukrainian colleagues, do not know what they were motivated. Most importantly — they are, by and large, have substituted their German colleagues who had attended the Ministerial meeting. For all this improvisation was a big surprise. He wanted to show Ukrainian delegation is unclear. It seemed very silly. The receiving party was very confused,” — said Zakharov.
In her opinion, such impromptu “on the verge of clowning” does not promote a peaceful settlement in the Donbass.
After talks in Berlin on 11 may, the foreign Ministers “channel four” refused joint statement.
Earlier Wednesday, Zakharova said that the foreign Ministers of Russia and Germany Sergey Lavrov and Frank-Walter Steinmeier began talks in Berlin with jokes.
“I thought we were going to talk on the merits, not on camera”, — cited the words of Lavrov Zakharova. “I thought so too until we were Russian journalists,” retorted Steinmeier.
