Female Russian national team on mini-football held two friendly match with the Iranian team to the hijab, while respecting local traditions. This was reported on the website of the Association of mini-football of Russia “Vkontakte”.
Both matches took place in Tehran. According to local laws, in Iran women are required to wear the hijab during sports competitions. These rules relate to foreign athletes. The first match ended in a draw with the score 3:3, in the second meeting, the Russians won 5:3.
Last year the Russians already out on international friendlies in hijabs. This also happened during the meetings with Iranian nationality.
As have informed in Association of mini-football of the Russian Federation, Iran, the rules for which foreign athletes during the sports competitions are required to wear the hijab.
