Germany must be persuaded to abandon the construction of the pipeline, and the United States will do everything for it, the official said, as Nord Stream 2 threatens the concept of the Energy Union of the EU.
“Half of Europe covered by the integrated and the free market of gas, and the other half of Europe by the cold war, connected by pipeline with Russia. System 2, Nord Stream and South Stream (South stream), you are condemning Eastern and Central Europe for another 30-50 years, the dependence on one supplier,” he added.
