Wilder with a broken arm beat Arreola

Initially, Wilder’s opponent was supposed to be Russian Alexander Povetkin, but that ahead of the meeting, passed a positive doping test. A team of American quickly found a new opponent – the Mexican Chris Arreola got a third chance to become world champion by the WBC.

Wilder confidently started the fight, easily winning round after round. In the fourth round Arreola was knocked down – in this moment Gionta tore the bicep on his right arm. A trauma champion is not fundamentally affected the nature of the fight – Wilder one hand continued to beat Arreola which every minute lost power and became more and more vulnerable target.

By the eighth round face Arreola was badly disfigured in a solid hematomas. The team of the Challenger made the right decision not releasing his boxer on to the next round.

“Now I want to fight with those who have the belt. Of course I want to fight Tyson fury and Anthony Joshua. The only question is, whether they want to fight me,” said Wilder after the fight.

After the battle it became clear that Deontay Wilder wrist fracture and rupture of the distal tendon of the shoulder.
