Film festival in Vyborg has always held a special place in the system of such events. Not a secular party, but not a cabal for one and a half Directors and producers. City festival, but with half of the audience from Moscow and St. Petersburg. Why movies are different, and some of them are really worth waiting for the rental.

Dislike
Paul Ruminov always wanted to make a slasher – and shot him, adding to his rich genre palette another color. Eight help locked in a huge house, and one kills the maniac in the mask on the face and with a hatchet in his hand. Liters of blood, a moderate amount of erotic innuendo and lots of jokes from the mouth of a professional wits bloggers – all of this made me ecstatic part of the public horror to run out of the hall, but the rest laughed the entire session and applauded at the credits. Roman Karimov – another young star of our Directors. He also likes to try different genres, is also a cinephile, and also boasts an uneven filmography. His new picture is a Thriller about three guys who bought under Peter the rusty boat and trying to fix it, but there is something weird. In the story there are burned children, raped the peyzanku, crazy old man, a strange wedding, hallucinations, dynamite and many other components, which Karimov at first confuses the viewer in the extreme, and then gradually tries to explain what’s really going on.

In the fourth round
Perhaps you could call the film “Farewell to Matyora”, and it would be accurate, because he talks about the village, which is going to flood before starting the next HPP. But it’s a genuine horror movie. By remaining in the village residents come indifferent silent, the police in the company of strong men with tattooed hands. They burn the eyes of the people, their property, break their house, and if you do not know that someone “from above” gave permission, it is possible to think that we are talking about the barbaric vandalism in some wild and distant country. People remove it on mobile phones, write letters to the President, but end their ordeal cheerful news programs about the fact that HES started up and are running successfully.
The American dream
Little student work from the contest “window to the Internet”. But very impressive – about a young American who decided to get in the Russian economy, and even did it quite successfully. But when he, preserving manner of us to smile at whatever it was, begins to tell about what he had to face in the Russian hinterland, begin to grow cold in terror. Temptation
Thriller with meaning. Three people, trapped together in a small cabin, must show, how much they cost. Weird sculptor offers the bride an obscene amount of money, that he abandoned his bride and she would be his Muse. And the bride, it turns out, also has his thoughts on this, and quite non-trivial. Nervous, one-piece, although at times somewhat theatrical movie. Review here.

All our hope
The film unexpectedly towards the end of the festival, was an event. The only picture which the audiences gave a standing ovation. The film looked not so much because he was shown out of competition program: the film’s producer – President of the “Window to Europe” Gevorg Nersisyan, and to include the film in the competition would be at least incorrect (although this picture is easily forgiven). A story about the difficult fate of the big miners ‘ families received massive support from critics, and his way to hire this can be a little easier.
