The head of Vnesheconombank (VEB) Vladimir Dmitriev announced the forthcoming departure from the post of Chairman of the state Corporation, reports”.ru”.

Earlier on 18 February, the newspaper Kommersant wrote that the Bank will hold a meeting of the employees, which Dmitriev talks about his decision. The publication reported that the place Dmitriev is the Chairman of the Board of Sberbank Sergey Gorkov. According to sources, the decree of appointment is signed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

On 17 February, the Agency TASS announced that the Supervisory Board of VEB can enter the head of Sberbank German Gref.

Two years ago, WEBB was faced with the necessity of recapitalization. Its need for additional capital was estimated at 1.1 trillion rubles up to 2020. In November 2015, the possibility of recapitalization of the Corporation at 1.5 trillion rubles through Federal loan bonds.
