Rare pictures taken at the dawn of photographic art
Up for auction Antiquarian Auctions exhibited 59 black and white photographs that were taken 170 years and was kept in a private collection in South Africa.
The pictures were taken in 1949-1851 years journalist Maxim Dukan, son of a wealthy French surgeon, during the expedition to Egypt, with the support of the government, in which he went together with his close friend, the famous writer Gustave Flaubert.
The author of these photos, journalist Maxim Dukan, spent long hours under the scorching desert sun with his photographic camera and a tripod.
