Ukraine U-21 ignominiously played their home qualifiers for Euro 2017.
Three defeats and one draw in the opening matches of the qualifying round did not leave the team right on a mistake – in the home match with the Macedonian team peers Alexander Golovko was a victory.
Ukrainians actively started the match, but instead of scoring a goal managed to miss. On 17 minutes Radecki took advantage of bad bounces from Kacharaba and sent the ball into the far corner.
To restore parity in the 34th minute was Zubkov, but the forward “the miner” after a great canopy of Sable did not hit the target. Ukraine due to the activity of the flanks continued to put pressure on the Macedonian protection – the guests defended well and didn’t forget about counterattacking actions
In the 56th minute one of attacks of Macedonia ended the second missed the ball – Demiri took advantage of the failure of the Ukrainian defence.
The defeat of Macedonia has deprived the national team of Ukraine even theoretical chances of hit in final tournament of the youth European championship.
