The national team of Ukraine on biathlon won the medal standings of the summer world Cup, held from 26 to 28 August in otepää (Estonia).
The leader of the national team of Ukraine Olena Pidhrushna won the sprint race, and Irina Varvynets took the third place. In pursuit Pidhrushna missed just forward of the jet kaysu Makarainen.
In men, the only medal in the adult category was won by Alexander Bold, who in the pursuit to progress from seventh to third position.
In the mixed doubles adult team of Ukraine (Jim Pidhrushna, Pidruchny and Semenov), despite two penalties, took second place. The victory was won by a Quartet from Finland.
Brilliantly performed at the summer world championship 21-year-old chernigovchanin Anton Migda, which became a two-time winner of the world championship. In the sprint, the Ukrainian was ahead of nearest competitor by nearly 20 seconds, and in the pursuit race with only one penalty confirmed its first place.
Pleased and other juniors Anastasiya Merkushyna with perfect shooting won the sprint and was third in the pursuit, bronze in the pursuit and Maksym ivko and in the mixed doubles Merkushina, Krivonos, Mariev and Dudchenko only lost to the Czechs.
At the summer biathlon world Championships the Ukrainian team won 11 medals, and by a wide margin won the medal standings.
