In the first months of the year exports continued to fall at a faster pace than imports.
Negative balance of foreign trade of Ukraine increased almost threefold in the first two months of 2016 and totaled $731 million, compared with $255 million a year earlier, according to the state statistics service.
According to the service, this is due to the fact that exports of goods in two months fell by 21.3% to us $4,722 billion, while imports only by 12.8%, to $5,453 billion.
As a result, the coverage ratio of imports by exports deteriorated from 0.96 to 0.87 in January and February.
Note, the balance of foreign trade in goods of Ukraine in 2015 is $632,5 million, while in 2014 it was negative in the amount of $527 million.
